Our Rules, Terms and Conditions

Whilst we want you to have a great time on the bus, there is a serious side to this that we have to follow to ensure we all have that safe, fun and great time.

Booking Policies

An invoice will be sent to you on booking your tour so please ensure a valid email or physical address is noted on the booking so this invoice can be sent to you.
A non refundable deposit of $250 is required to confirm all party group bookings and it is only after we get this deposit that we can reserve your spots on the Moonlight Stretch Limo.

If you decide to cancel two weeks or more prior to a nominated tour date,  the deposit may be transferred to another booking  date within 12 months of the original tour date. If you cancel one week or less prior to the nominated date, your deposit of $250 will be held as a cancellation fee and no compensation will arise as a result of the cancellation. If we have to cancel the tour due to an unforeseen event, your deposit will be refunded to you in full.

Full payment must be made at least one week before the date of the tour.  Minimum guest numbers for your group  (15 persons for night tours and parties) must be met.  The tour will not go ahead if this number is not met and paid in full at least one week before the tour date.

All passenger(s) are required to conform with reasonable standards of good behaviour and/or any rules that are imposed by the Moonlight Stretch Limo from time to time. Any breach of reasonable standards of good behaviour and/or breach of the rules of the Moonlight Stretch Limo may result in the termination of the function and the services by the Moonlight Stretch Limo Operator without notice and no rights to compensation will arise as a result of such termination.

In the event that the passenger(s) does not comply with the provisions of the ACT Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999 and the NSW Road (Safety and Management) Act 1999 and/or any rules or regulations made thereunder according to both the ACT and NSW Acts above, then the Moonlight Stretch Limo Operator may terminate the services and the function without notice and no rights to compensation will arise as a result of such termination.

In the event that the passenger(s) does not comply with the provisions of the WHS/OH&S Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice applicable to both NSW and the ACT, then the Moonlight Stretch Limo may terminate the services and the function without notice and no rights to compensation will arise as a result of such termination.

At the discretion of the Moonlight Stretch Limo, a credit card imprint may be required and a sum of $250 held until after the event.  If there is no damage to the bus or otherwise, that held sum will be released back to you.

Note:  For out of city limit events, ALL passengers must be seated.  This provision can also be enforced in some areas within the city.

Day time country pub and special event (unlimited booking numbers)

A non refundable deposit of $250 is required to confirm all party group bookings of 10 or more persons and it is only after we receive this deposit that we can reserve your spots on the Moonlight Stretch Limo.  Groups of less than 10 persons will be required to pay in full at the time of booking.
A bond will not apply for country and special event tours unless otherwise stated by Moonlight Stretch Limo management.
If we have to cancel the tour due to an unforeseen event, your deposit will be refunded to you in full.
There will most likely be other parties on board to make for a fun time.

Drinks on board the Moonlight Stretch Limo

Do not arrive at the Moonlight Stretch Limo drunk and do not assume drinks will be allowed on board until this is clarified with our party crew. BYO is allowed on the Moonlight Stretch Limo but subject to strict provisions in accordance with the Liquor Act 2010 (ACT) and RSA Provisions.   Under Part 8 of the Australian Capital Territory Liquor Act 2010, it is an offence to supply liquor to intoxicated persons.  This means that under this Act and the Responsible Service of Alcohol Provisions, you will not be allowed to drink on the bus if you are intoxicated and nor will you gain entry into the clubs you have paid to go to.
If you wish to drink alcohol on board the bus and for us to  abide by these strict provisions, we have set certain rules in place for the provision of that alcohol on the bus (remember, no alcohol is to be carried or drunk in public areas).  You will be required to pay an additional fee for an affiliate business to pick up your alcohol and to place it on the Moonlight Stretch Limo for you.  Our party crew will serve the drinks to you in plastic cups (no glass allowed on board) and in accordance with RSA Provisions.  If you have alcohol left over at the end of the tour, you are most welcome to take it home with you.  Remember, we will also be checking your ID to prove you are over 18 years of age before we serve alcohol to you.
Drinks are not allowed on certain tours for those under 18 years old or school formals.

Identification for licenced venues.

Ensure you bring your ID.  If you cannot prove you are over 18 years of age, we cannot allow you to drink alcohol on board the bus.  We may know you’re over 18 but some of the clubs we go to will want to check it for themselves.
A special Moonlight Stretch Limo wristband will be placed on your wrist as you board the bus.  This is your identification that you are with us and all that will be needed for the night to get your free entry and discount drinks at the venues.  It also gets you back on board the Moonlight Stretch Limo. Our tours are extremely popular, even more so when we are on tour and from time to time we get the free loader or stowaway who tries to gain access to the bus.
So guard your wristband and have it on securely so you cannot lose it, don’t lend it to anyone and don’t give it to anyone.  If you lose it, you will be in for a short night.
Entry at each venue is at the discretion of venue staff and normal entry requirements including:

  • being sober
  • having current photo ID
  • wearing appropriate clothing for that venue.

Dress for the occasion

Dress like you are going to a party but keep a couple of things in mind.  Guys – T-shirts or shirts without collars may restrict you from entry into some nightclubs.  Girls – stilletos may not be your best choice when climbing up and down bus steps.
Most venues do not allow hats, beanies, singlets, thongs, runners, steel cap boots, shorts, work clothes or fancy dress without prior arrangement.
We really encourage you to think about your valuables, like purses, cameras and wallets.  We take all care but no responsibility for anything left on the bus. We don’t have a cloak room on board so please keep everything with you at all times and take everything with you whenever you leave the bus.

Socially Offensive Behavior

Don’t arrive drunk or under the influence of drugs of any kind or you will be refused entry on board the Moonlight Stretch Limo. We reserve the right to exclude any person(s) from the Moonlight Stretch Limo if they become socially offensive and/or cause offence or inconvenience to others. We reserve the right to give your contact details to any person(s) making a complaint about any of your guests.

Unforseeable Events

Traffic, breakdowns, street access and other conditions are unpredictable.  We will do the best we can to get there, but if our vehicle cannot arrive as expected, we will not be held liable.

Bus Cleaning and/or Damage

If the bus requires cleaning beyond what would normally be expected (such as removing excessive spilt drinks, chewing gum or confetti), additional cleaning fees will apply. These fees will be sent to the party organiser and are to be paid within seven (7) days of the invoice date.

Party poppers are not allowed on board the bus.

If the vehicle requires repairs as a result of a group action or of an individual member of your group’s action, both the organiser and the person who caused the damage will be responsible for the FULL cost of these repairs. The organiser will be invoiced and payment will be due seven (7) days after the date of the invoice.  If the damage bill is not paid, legal action will be taken.

Defoulment and Damage Rules

If you get sick on the bus, you clean it up.   A fee of $250 will also apply to clean and deodorise the bus.

Minimum Number of Guests

Some packages are based on a minimum number of guests.   In such cases, if the minimum number of persons do not travel, you must pay the balance amount equal to the minimum number of guests that should have paid for the tour, i.e. if the tour is a minimum of 15 paying guests, and you only have 12 guests, the total cost of your tour must be made up to the equivalent of the 15 paying guests.  The Moonlight Stretch Limo has a minimum number of 15 persons unless for special tours and country tours or otherwise prearranged (please contact us to make special arrangements for smaller groups or a single person).

Unscheduled Waiting Time

Unscheduled additional time that is a result of your group’s actions is charged to you at a rate of $250 per hour plus GST or part thereof.   Our rule is we cannot wait over our scheduled time for anyone who may not arrive back at the bus on time or groups that may not board at the nominated time. We take no responsibility for any passengers who do not meet our scheduled time requirements to return to the bus.

Photos

Sometimes we have crew on board who takes photos .  Those photos are published on our website or social media.  If you want a copy of that photo, please contact us.
If you do not want your photos to be published on our website or social media, you must advise us prior to the event, during the event or at the conclusion of the event.

Travel like a passenger

We appreciate you are on board the Moonlight Stretch Limo for a party.  Our travel conditions are a lot different than those on normal bus travel .  We ask you to remember you are still, by definition, a public passenger on a passenger vehicle and that means having a little consideration for others on board the bus.
Guys, if we do happen to get a Grandma on board, give her your seat.  Or better still, give up your seat to any female you see standing.  She gets to sit down and take the weight off her sore feet from wearing her stilettos (to impress you) and she will think you are the gentleman she has always wanted to meet!  Works both ways!

Pace yourself

Clubs in NSW and the ACT are very strict in relation to the service of alcohol and the entry of intoxicated persons or persons under the influence of illicit substances.  Any persons who are intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances will not be allowed to board the Moonlight Stretch Limo in the first instance, or if they become intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances during the tour, they will placed in a taxi and sent home at their own expense.  The cost of the taxi is to be borne by the affected person or by the organiser of the group of which that affected person is a member of.

Stay with your group and use the buddy system

As we need to stay on schedule, please don’t leave the venue we are at or stray away from the group. We will not have time to go looking for anyone who is not in the nominated venue and if we can’t find you, we will leave without you.  Chances are if this happens you may find yourself stranded in a part of town that you don’t want to spend the rest of your life in!  And of course, you’ll have to find your own way home.
Find a buddy at the beginning of the night and look out for each other.
And the most important of all requirements is  HAVE FUN!

Leaving the Moonlight Stretch Limo early

If you decide to leave the tour early, you will need to sign off the passenger list to say you are leaving.  You are also required to take your wristband off before you leave the tour.  We have blunt scissors on board to do this. We take no responsibility for any passengers who do not inform us they have left the party.
